Cameron was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in Febuary of 2008. After his tumor resection surgery, he underwent six weeks of radiation therapy and four months of chemotherapy. After these treatments, we went back into our "normal" lives and Cameron progressed well getting back into school and the day-to-day of being a little boy.



However, a routine MRI on March 19, 2010 showed his cancer had returned. On November 9th, 2011, Cameron finally conquered his battle with cancer when he opened his eyes to the joys of heaven. Even in these dark days, we know God has richly blessed us by putting so many wonderful people in our path during this journey and we are so very thankful for them all.

We're Home!

Cameron was discharged this afternoon around 5:30.  We are so excited.  After the first cycle, he was at Duke for nine days before his counts came up and was discharged.  This time, he was there for six, including a trip to the PICU.  This is VERY atypical and we are just rejoicing at God’s goodness and healing of our little boy.  Tomorrow Cameron has an MRI and then will be in the OR on Friday if his platelets cooperate.  Thank you all for your prayers and please remember him the next two days as he has these two procedures.  Two more months!!!

LeAnn and Ernest, I am so happy you are home! So many prayers have been heard by God. I am praying that today and tomorrow will go perfectly and you will have a restful 2 weeks. Love, Aunt Jan
