Cameron was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in Febuary of 2008. After his tumor resection surgery, he underwent six weeks of radiation therapy and four months of chemotherapy. After these treatments, we went back into our "normal" lives and Cameron progressed well getting back into school and the day-to-day of being a little boy.

However, a routine MRI on March 19, 2010 showed his cancer had returned. On November 9th, 2011, Cameron finally conquered his battle with cancer when he opened his eyes to the joys of heaven. Even in these dark days, we know God has richly blessed us by putting so many wonderful people in our path during this journey and we are so very thankful for them all.

Cam's back in a regular room

He’s still spiking fevers, but they’re much lower and Tylenol is able to bring them back down quickly. The blood culture they took yesterday has been negative as of the 24-hour mark this morning, so hopefully it will be the same tomorrow and will mean the antibiotics have done their job on that front. He’s still having some upper chest/stomach pain from what they think is esophagitis, so they’ve been giving him anti-fungal med’s for that, but haven’t been able to completely knock it out yet…maybe by tomorrow.

His white cell counts are still pretty much not even registering yet just like last time, so we anticipate he’ll be there until Friday…just like last time. He’s got quite a few things to do this week which I’m not sure how we’ll do since he’s neutropenic, but I guess we’ll manage. He’s got an eye appt on Wednesday, an MRI on Thursday, and a Lumbar Puncture and possibly a upper GI scope on Friday…all while he has a weakened immune system, so please pray for safety in both the procedures as well as transporting him back and forth through the hospital to them.

Dear LeAnn, I am praying for all of you. It hurts to know what all you are dealing with, but I am so proud of you and your faith. Thank you for telling us the specific things to pray for. God's grace is sufficient and that is a promise you can claim. Love, Aunt Jan
