Cameron was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in Febuary of 2008. After his tumor resection surgery, he underwent six weeks of radiation therapy and four months of chemotherapy. After these treatments, we went back into our "normal" lives and Cameron progressed well getting back into school and the day-to-day of being a little boy.

However, a routine MRI on March 19, 2010 showed his cancer had returned. On November 9th, 2011, Cameron finally conquered his battle with cancer when he opened his eyes to the joys of heaven. Even in these dark days, we know God has richly blessed us by putting so many wonderful people in our path during this journey and we are so very thankful for them all.

Sad...

Not much to write...I'm so sad today. Sad for a family who lost a beautiful little girl to a brain tumor this morning. Sad because I know my time will soon come. Sad because Cameron had a bad night and is hurting again. There are some things we will never understand on this side of heaven. Trusting the Lord knows best even though it is so hard on days like today.

I too am sad for the family's loss and sad that Cameron has had a bad night. Sad that you are sad. Sad that I don't get to spend my days with Cam.
I am happy to say that I know Cam, both of you and several members of your family. Happy that I have been able to be a small part of his life. Happy to see the love and the compassion that Cameron has shared with his classmates. Happy that Cameron has taught me how to look for the best in things and to keep a positive attitude. Happy that Cameron has taught me to continue to laugh at myself. Happy that Cameron has also taught me to look adversity in the face and keep on smiling. Happy when I can look at each day and say this is the best day and think of him. Happy to hear the stories of him racing his cars around the house. Happy to hear that the neighbors have bonded in support of your family. Cameron has brought so much joy and happiness to my life and I am happy for that.

The Jackson family's strength is amazing. Think and praying for you all.

I was the nurse at Salem Elementary when Cameron was first diagnosed. I left soon after to work in Chapel Hill. I have kept up with Cameron and your family through my many friends at Salem Elementary. I have thought of all of you so often and have shared your hope for Cameron's recovery. I continue to lift you all up in prayer. I pray for the comfort of your family and especially Cameron. I am so sorry for all you have endured.

Sending you much love,
Mary Morris
