I woke up this morning with the intention of updating everyone on Cameron and yet when I looked at my work email and saw a message from a co-worker I met several weeks ago whose little girl was born with many health issues, the focus left us and moved to them for her little girl, Jayden Langley, went to meet Jesus last night. I almost immediately put on my tennis shoes and took off for a run (as I often do these days to think); wondering why our Lord takes these precious little lives too soon. And then on my iPod played:
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say it is well
Jesus has overcome, and the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won, He is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God, fall on my knees and rise
I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome, and the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won, He is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God, fall on my knees and rise
I will rise
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God, fall on my knees and rise
I will rise
I am not sure I will ever understand God's purpose in the suffering of these little children but knowing that one day, they will live with Christ where there will be no more sorrow, no more pain...well that gives me peace beyond understanding. Please pray for the Langley family as they go through this test of faith.
