It's hard to believe it is already March. Two days before Christmas when Cameron had his scan, I thought our family would be in a very different place by now. However, Cameron continues to enjoy every day. Quite honestly, it is an emotional roller coaster. We adore our precious child and every moment we have with him. But it saddens me constantly to see him struggle at simple tasks. With the weather getting warmer and the kids back out in the neighborhood, it absolutely breaks my heart to hear the "playing" outside and know my son was robbed of such a life 3 years ago because of this tumor. Ernest and I constantly go in and out of trusting God, sadness, joy, anger and everything in between. I keep waiting for God to deliver some rationale for why this is occurring and I'm coming to realize He might not ever. But I guess that is the definition of faith isn't it, believing in something you can't see? Without a doubt, its easier said than done!
Cameron was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in Febuary of 2008. After his tumor resection surgery, he underwent six weeks of radiation therapy and four months of chemotherapy. After these treatments, we went back into our "normal" lives and Cameron progressed well getting back into school and the day-to-day of being a little boy.
However, a routine MRI on March 19, 2010 showed his cancer had returned. On November 9th, 2011, Cameron finally conquered his battle with cancer when he opened his eyes to the joys of heaven. Even in these dark days, we know God has richly blessed us by putting so many wonderful people in our path during this journey and we are so very thankful for them all.

When I read your comments this morning I was reminded of a thought I've had so many times in the past. I love, love the scriptural/historical accounts of men & women who demonstrated great faith. They inspire and teach me so much about God's faithfulness when I see the results of His work in their lives. However, just reading the accounts after the fact makes it seem so easy and then I realize that someone had to LIVE out that faith...nothing easy about that! Our love to and prayers for you all -
well said leanne...
