Cam's getting his wish!!

A few weeks back, the local chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation came by to visit Cam and they asked him what his wish would be. True to form, he told them how much he loved Hot Wheels and how he would love to design a Hot Wheels car. They were obviously surprised and said they hadn't heard a wish like this before, but they were excited at the same time to see if they could make it happen. They asked him for a "backup wish" just in case because they weren't 100% sure about the first option. So we waited to see how things would turn out.

Well...we got a call last night that HE'S GETTING HIS WISH!!! We don't have a date or all the details yet, but we do know we'll all fly out to LA and will spend four days and three nights with the folks from Make A Wish and Mattel. They wanted to know about his favorite foods, snacks, drinks, and of course...Hot Wheels cars. We're not sure what all will be lined up for the visit, but they have asked him to draw out a design for a car, so Cam is going to be a design engineer! Maybe he'll be creative enough to make it to the production line...how cool would that be!?!?

LeAnn and I are just as excited, if not more, for him as he is. I'm not sure he really gets the full extent yet, but he knows how excited we are for him and knows something really cool is going to happen. I believe God knew we needed a lift being this close to Chemo, so He gave us something to look forward to on the other side of it to keep our spirits up over the next four to five months.
