Cameron was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in Febuary of 2008. After his tumor resection surgery, he underwent six weeks of radiation therapy and four months of chemotherapy. After these treatments, we went back into our "normal" lives and Cameron progressed well getting back into school and the day-to-day of being a little boy.
However, a routine MRI on March 19, 2010 showed his cancer had returned. On November 9th, 2011, Cameron finally conquered his battle with cancer when he opened his eyes to the joys of heaven. Even in these dark days, we know God has richly blessed us by putting so many wonderful people in our path during this journey and we are so very thankful for them all.
If our math is correct, we’re at the half way mark as of today’s treatments. Cam did VERY well yesterday during the setup on the new machine for the next treatment plan and even did well on the clinic visit (with the weekly blood draw) today. He lost pretty much all of his hair over the weekend, so that hit all of us pretty hard, but you move on and stay thankful for the many positives we’ve already been given and know at least HIS hair will come back. Wonder if a few doses of radiation would help mine?? ;-)
Ms. Germano is coming over to offer Cam his school activities and he absolutely can’t wait for her visits, is so excited about all the things they work on, and fills us all in once she leaves each time. Overall, his spirits are pretty good as I think he’s definitely come to the conclusion that there’s nothing really bad in the treatments and he’s becoming more independent each day with his walking. His stomach seems to be doing better without the spine treatments, so hopefully we can continue that positive trend as well.

Great Job Cam, you're half way home! You are so brave and we continue to be amazed by your spirit. You are in our prayers every day. Good luck with the next half of your treatments.
