Another week passes by and we are still where I left things off in my previous post. He seems to be a little more alert this week but he is still incredibly weak. Getting him up and down the stairs, in and out of the car, is a task in itself and I fear it is just a matter of time before EJ throws his back out. We have made good use of his rolling desk chair to get him around the upstairs...I think Cam enjoys the "ride" too. What amazes me, and breaks my heart at the same time, is that with everything he is enduring, he still doesn't complain. How is that? It is crazy how much he has taught me about LIVING in his 10 short years.
I think I have said this before but going through this journey with Cameron leaves me feeling so isolated at times. Without a doubt, very few people can understand what we are going through and the majority of people i know, don't want to even try to understand what we are going through (and I don't blame them). But I was noticing the other day how many people go to our blog in a 24 hour period and it just amazed me. I don't think I will never know how many people have been touched by Cameron's story, pictures, and my words. LIfe is so hard...faith is even harder sometimes. But I gotta believe God knows what He is doing here. Love to you all!

you are an inspiration!
Your faith is a great witness to our family. Thank you for being willing to share your journey. Love and prayers!
I have never had the pleasure of meeting your family, I only know of you all through my daughter. I have been praying for all of you over the years, since this started. Your words have changed my life, made me see what is really important in this time that we are given. Just know that there are many of us out here that feel your pain and wish the best for your whole family.
You are constantly in my prayers and there is not a day that goes by that I dont' have you on my mind. I cannot imagine what you are going through, nor can I imagine going through it. Your family has touched my family in ways you will probably never know. Just know that you are in our hearts, prayers, and thoughts - ALWAYS. You are deeply loved.
Your posts have been such a testimony and an inspiration. Even in this storm God is using you to touch so many people. Cameron's outlook and disposition are also an inspiration. What an amazing little boy!
Praying for your family today!
As you said, I can't even begin to imagine being on this journey, but we pray for your family every day--for strength, faith, and peace as you deal. Being "older" than you guys, we didn't know you well when you took off down this road, but we feel like we do now! Thank you for updating us and letting us peek into your hearts, so that we know how to pray. You're really not as alone as you feel...
You are right - we cannot go to that place where we would totally understand what you are going through because it would be too, too painful. I try to imagine one of my children going through what Cameron has endured, and I recoil. Why go there if you don't have to? But just those few seconds of having your breath taken away is enough to know that instead of just a few moments of imagined pain, you live with the real horror and pain every day. And you are required to be brave in the face of all this horror.
Cameron is definitely a special little boy, and he has special parents as well.

You, your family, and precious Cameron continue to be in my prayers. You're traveling a road that no parent should ever have to travel. You're such an inspiration and witness to us all because your faith has never faltered-- only grown stronger as you continue to praise God through this storm. We do feel your pain and our hearts ache. We send you our love and many prayers.
